Tottenham Hotspur Training Ground

Located near Enfield, London, the Tottenham Hotspur training ground is one of the best training centers in the world. It is a state-of-the-art training ground with facilities that only a few clubs in this world can match. Opened in 2012, the spanking new training ground cost Tottenham a cool £45m to build.

What are the facilities at the Tottenham Hotspur Training ground?

There are some seriously world-class facilities provided at the Spurs’ training ground, starting with –

Pitches – There are 15 grass pitches currently at the training ground, out of which 4 are used by the first team for training and 7 are used by the academy kids for training. The pitches are designed specifically to mirror the conditions of Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Indoor Pitch – There is also a full sized indoor pitch at the training center. If for some reason Spurs players cannot train outside, then there is a very apt option of training inside the center with its full sized pitch.

Turf – An artificial turf has also been laid at the training center for training. The reason for laying an artificial turf was for its importance for all weather training. Artificial pitch won’t be damaged by either rain, snow, or heat.

Gym – There is a world-class gym at the training center with state-of-the-art facilities and amenities. Player’s conditioning is taken care of in this gymnasium.

Pools – There are a number of pools at the training ground. There are hot and cold pools as well as hydrotherapy pools and to top it all off there is a pool specifically designed for conditioning, recovery, and rehabilitation of players.

Main Rooms – Medical rooms as well changing rooms are part of the main building. Players can get changed here and also use the medical room for treatment and rehabilitation programs. There is also a special tactical room where the coaching staff lay down plans for the upcoming games and fixtures. It goes without saying that the room is equipped with the latest technology and equipments to help the coaching staff.

Recreational rooms – When the lads are not training or recovering, then there is also a recreational room for them to do different things. From playing other sports to team bonding exercises. This room is for non-football purpose to keep the players relaxed.

The training ground also has sustainable qualities, it can harvest rain water, it is also designed to save energy and make it more environment friendly, there is also a lot of greenery in the stadium’s parameters and also inside the boundaries.

Spurs have also made an effort to include the communities as well. They have regular hosted community programs that support the people of the city and more importantly the youths.

To finish up, Spurs’ state-of-the-art training ground is definitely one of the best training grounds in the world with world-class facilities and location.
