Tottenham Pre-Season Fixtures

With a new season comes new hope. Tottenham Hotspur will hope that the wait for that elusive trophy will finally be over this year. Ange Postecoglou has had one entire season under his belt, and he might have seen what needs upgrading and how most of his squad functions.

The Spurs are also back in Europe after a season out of it, so the current pre-season will be essential for their preparations for the upcoming season. Tottenham have already begun their pre-season; in fact, they have already played a few games, with a few more lined up in the coming weeks.

Without further ado, let’s dive into the pre-season fixtures and results.

Hearts 1–5 Tottenham Hotspur (Tynecastle Park)

Tottenham brushed aside Hearts in their first pre-season friendly at Tynecastle Park. Johnson, Lankshear, Moore, Spence, and Phillips scored for Spurs, while Shankland scored a consolation goal for Hearts as Spurs began their pre-season fixtures with a thumping win.

QPR 0–2 Tottenham Hotspur (Loftus Road)

Spurs claimed a second win in their second pre-season game, running out 2 – 0 winners against QPR. Bissouma opened the scoring before a late Dane Scarlett goal sealed the win for the North London side. The only downside from the game was the early withdrawal of the impressive Lucas Bergvall due to a knock.

Vissel Kobe vs Tottenham Hotspur (27th July, Japan National Stadium)

Tottenham will play Vissel Kobe in Japan on 27 July. Vissel Kobe are the current reigning J1 League champions. Spurs last visited Japan in 1991, so they will revisit Japan after a 33-year gap.

TKL vs Tottenham Hotspur (31st July, Seoul World Cup Stadium)

Continuing their Asia leg tour, Spurs will take on the K League All-Stars team on 31 July. The manager of the current K Champions FC Ulsan, Hong Myung-Bo, will lead the K League. It will be a homecoming for South Korean superstar Son Heung-min.

Bayern Munich vs Tottenham Hotspur (3rd August, Seoul World Cup Stadium)

The Spurs will play against the German giants Bayern Munich in a doubleheader in the same stadium as against K League All-Stars. It is part of the Asian tour leg, and the Spurs will be in the middle of their preparations for the new season. Expect fireworks in this game.

Tottenham Hotspur vs Bayern Munich (10th August, Tottenham Hotspur Stadium)

We talked about Son’s homecoming. This will be Harry Kane’s homecoming, as the England star will take part in his first match against Spurs for the Visit Malta Cup. The club’s all-time leading scorer will visit the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium for the first time as a player since his departure last summer.

Tottenham Hotspur begins the Premier League season with a home tie against Leicester City on 20 August. Look out for any last-minute changes or additions to pre-season fixtures.
